Getting to know you
We create a personal profile including details of your loved ones preferences in terms of activities, meals, places and future hopes. This allows our carers to get to know and help settle residents into their new home. We update the profile with new activities and hobbies they engage in. Our carers take 1:1 time to get to know their residents on a personal level in order to make them feel at ease and accompanied.
Dementia-friendly environment
Our care home is designed to high dementia standards in order to help residents mobilise easily and as independently as possible. We offer a relaxing dining experience with minimum noise, and table cloths of contrasting colours. Meals are offerred with visual choices and we support a range of modified diets.
Also, our large and vibrant garden offers residents the opportunity to walk with purpose and explore safely.
Personalised Rooms
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with familiar furniture, photographs, and other cherished belongings. This makes the transition as smooth as possible and creates a feeling of comfort. A memory box is featured outside each room, which residents are encouraged to fill with special items. As well as helping us learn more about their lives, this greatly assists residents in identifying their rooms.
